Is freshness only what is new? Perhaps freshness is a memory that blooms in what has faded.
MEMORABLE consists of transparent letters filled with dried, yet still colorful, flowers and plants. Moved gently by the wind, these letters come alive — suspended from tree branches and forming the phrases CHROMATIC REMAINS and WORTH REMEMBERING. They reveal the delicate, living layers of memory.
The work explores the cycles of nature and the idea that freshness can stretch across time. The flowers may have lost their original bloom, yet they still carry color, meaning, and quiet beauty. This subtle transformation invites viewers to discover a deeper sense of renewal within impermanence.
In this way, the theme “...fresh” is not declared, but embodied — in the sway of the wind, in the softness of remembering, and in the resilience of what remains.
This work gently whispers:
What remains is still fresh — if we choose to remember.
