Versatile exhibition venues - thanks to the farmers
The 12th ‘bewegter wind’ wind art festival will take place from 17 - 31 August 2025 in Zierenberg. The competition and exhibition is organised by “bewegter wind” e.V Association for the Promotion of Wind Art and Intercultural Communication, which organises the wind art festival together with partners and helpers.
For this year's wind art exhibition, curator Reta Reinl has found areas and landscapes around Zierenberg. With the support of Mayor Rüdiger Germeroth and the town council, contact was established with the landowners and tenants. In co-operation with the municipal farmer Thomas Rose, the concerns of various interest groups were discussed and areas were found for an exhibition tour around the Zierenberger Warte that would not interfere with the harvest during the construction and exhibition period.
Respect and consideration are particularly important during the stressful harvesting phase. Car parks for visitors to the wind art festival will be designated at the cemetery on Ranger Straße and the Elisabeth Selbert School. This means that combine harvesters are not hindered by cars parked in the area. Dogs must be kept on a lead and additional rubbish bins and dog bag holders will be set up along the exhibition route.
Reta Reinl and Winfried Junker-Schönfelder from the ‘bewegter wind’ board have now presented the exhibition areas together with Mayor Germeroth and the two farmers Karsten Feuring and Dirk Zaun. Reta Reinl thanked the farmers for their excellent co-operation and solution finding. The association is particularly pleased and grateful for the land that Karsten Feuring and Dirk Zaun have made available for the exhibition period.
The result will be an exhibition tour that impressively emphasises the diversity of the landscape around Zierenberg and, together with the art, invites visitors to change their perspective.
Works of art are now being selected from 157 applications from 22 countries. Over the next few weeks, an exhibition concept will be developed for a wind art exhibition with the selected exhibits and taking into account nature conservation aspects, which will open on Sunday, 17 August 2025.
